write article

Now you will need to add content to your page. There are only four different ways you can get content sorted from best quality to least.

1.) Hire Freelance Authors To Write Content
2.) Write It Yourself
3.) Buy PLR (private label rights) Articles
4.) Grab Articles From Directories
5.) Public Domain Works

Freelance Authors
Plenty of webmasters use freelance authors that can write Adsense arbitrage type pages for between $3 to $5 an article. These will be short 300 word articles that will be optimized for the keyword you give them. You can also try sites like Rentacoder.com or Elance.com. I came across some very good writers through relationships I built up in the webmaster forums. You can email me at {site name} if you want more information. Alternatively, you may want to try posting an ad in Craigslist.

Write It Yourself
I put this second because while arbitrage articles are not long, roughly 250 to 500 words some of us hate writing so we procrastinate and the project never gets done. If you like writing this will be a joyful piece of cake for you. These articles do not need to be brilliant just be in proper English with no spelling or grammatical mistakes using the keyword you have chosen as the topic.

Buy PLR Articles
There are many sites which offer prepackaged article packs on a monthly subscription basis for a fee. The best one I have found and one I use is http://www.niche-content-packages.com (affiliate link) Each month you get to choose 3 to 4 niche content packages each containing around 20 new quality niche articles with private label rights from a library of several hundred plus professionally designed header graphics and ebook covers. The quality of the content is the best of all the PLR subscription I have tried. It took me a long time to find something of this quality. I use them and recommend them highly.

I consider the next two sources as lesser quality because the content will hit Google’s duplicate content filters and your page will be dumped into supplemental index unless you rewrite portions of text. With original content you get the opportunity for a few free clicks from organic search results.

Getting Articles from Directories
Sites like ezinearticles.com and goarticles.com will allow you to reprint articles from their directory if you include the directory and author’s byline guidelines. It usually means including links back to the article.(VERIFY)

Public Domain Works
Public domain works are books, poems and articles that have no copyright protection or the copyright has expired. You can completely copy, modify and resell the content. The problem with using public domain works for Adsense arbitrage is there are not many public domain works on popular niches. Many of the public domain content are quite old, dating back to the early part of the last century or earlier. Digital cameras, iPods, certain brands did not exist back then.

Use Article Writing Software
Article writing software will grab articles from the major directories which you can place on your page along with the author’s original credit and link back.

There also is software that will rewrite an existing article by using synonyms or replace words from a library or Markov Chain rewriting software. In my experience software that rewrites existing articles and Markov Chain type software do not produce quality content that makes sense to a reader. If you use this type of software you will most likely need to manually edit the article for legibility and proper formatting.

More About Content
At one time the general assumption for arbitrage content was to simply toss any old text onto the page with enough keywords to trigger the right ads. In fact the general idea was to make the text as useless as possible triggering the reader to leave immediately. Preferably by clicking on a link to find something better. Huge numbers of web sites sprouted to capitalize on this. In a reaction to all the junky pages being made to capitalize on Adsense Google implemented what it calls the Quality Score around the end of 2006.

Quality score is Google’s algorithm that rates the relevance of a page. With Google’s quality score coming into effect valid content is now a much more important consideration.

According to Google, the score is based on ad relevance, keyword relevance, landing page factors, the performance of your Adsense account and cryptic “miscellaneous other factors”.

Here are the key factors to watch out for:
-click through rate
-relevance of Google ad to chosen keyword
-landing page must be relevant to ad copy
-the quality of the on page elements in your landing page
-the quality of your account history which based on all of the combined elements above

SEO
I am going to give you some very basic, easy to follow SEO techniques to apply to your pages.

You will be happy to know SEO, in a lot of cases boils down to a list of best practices, there is no black magic unless you go the black hat route but we will not be using those techniques here.

There are only three html meta tags you need to worry about on an arbi page. The first and most important one you need for on page SEO optimization is to put in a good title. Google uses the title to understand what your page is about and uses it for indexing.

Use a good descriptive title with your main keyword in it. Don’t make it too long. A short snappy attention grabbing title would be best.

For instance if your topic is designer sunglasses, you can use something like this.

Latest Designer Sunglasses From Name Brand Manufacturers.

After the title tag you should enter a meta tag description. Here you can put more information about the product and related keywords. You may be asking, why not put keywords in the keywords tag? The reason is the keywords tag has been overly abused in the past when search engines were much easier to game so now search engines assign little to no relevance to that tag.

So for the meta description tag you might use something like this.
